    Very Nice!

Posted by Michael P - Dallas on 22nd Jan 2020

Purchase details: Temperature Rating: 0°F (-17°C), Length: Long (6'2" to 6'7") (187 cm to 200 cm), Fill Power: 850, Overfill: Standard Fill).

I purchased this product believing I would receive something that was just for me, and that expectation was fulfilled. This is truly a premium product!

At first I was concerned that the width was not enough, as I have broad shoulders and like to feel encapsulated. However, after taking this out for multiple 20 degree nights I can say with confidence this product performed flawlessly.

On my next purchase (oh yes), I will probably special request an additional panel on each side for additional comfort (as a luxury, not a necessity).

    Thank you HG!!

    10 degree premium incubator

Posted by Tate hughes on 11th Jan 2020

This incubator is awesome!! I have yet to do a 32 or below overnighter in it but I did spend a couple hours on it while it 30 degrees out. I recently used it in a very windy overnighter and it blocked the wind and kept me warm! Compact-able and lightweight!!

    Incubator 20 degree

Posted by Rob nash on 1st Dec 2019

Hi, I recently placed an order with hammock gear for a incubator 20 degree under quilt and was amazed at the service I received. It took just over a week from date of order to delivery here in the uk which is dam good service I think. The product itself is also excellent I used it this weekend on a bushcraft skills exchange in a cold damp valley where the sun don’t shine much in the winter and temperatures were down to just above freezing. The quilt is very well made and very light weight and compact, it’s half the weight and pack size of my old down quilt but not quite as warm but that was my fault I should have gone for a 2-3 oz over fill. It’s so quick to set up and pack away once you have set the cord attachments to correct length it just a case of attaching one s- beener to one end of hammock and one to the other and that’s it done. I’m a cold sleeper so when I have some spare cash I will order a 0’ degree quilt for the colder times and then I can use one for summer and one for winter. Excellent product guys thank you

    A+ Warmth, A+ Durability

Posted by Stephanie Stanton on 29th Nov 2019

I purchased the Premium Incubator (Outer Shell Color: Black (10D), Inner Shell Color: Glacier Gray (10D), Temperature Rating: 0°F (-17°C), Length: Long (6'2" to 6'7") (187 cm to 200 cm), Fill Power: 950, Overfill: 4 ounces) for winter backpacking and some extended car camping trips. I get super cold, even at home (7 fuzzy blankets and an electric throw year round!), so hammock camping past September was a no-go for me. Plus, my best friend and I have a few backcountry snowshoeing trips planned so I knew I had to be prepared. Let me tell you, it is absolutely the perfect temperature sleep every time I’ve used it. I love the ability to adjust the venting and tweak the pitch of the underquilt so I don’t overheat and can limit airflow in high winds. It has kept me warm (and dry but more on that later) for 8 day late September camping trips (lows in the 40s), on high ridge lines in the smokies in mid October during heavy fog (high winds, lows in the mid 30s), and during absolutely torrential rain (lows in the mid 30s) when my tarp completely failed and the site flooded. I was still warm, toasty, and dry inside even though the outside of the incubator was soaked - I was surprised that the down didn’t just release all of the heat. I was expecting to have to bail into my best friend’s synthetic underquilt with him, but the premium underquilt performed phenomenally.

I do recommend swapping out the included S-beners and upgrade the stuff sack. The S-beners are plastic and the foot bener broke on me before I even used it - they are color coded though so you know which end is the top and which is the bottom), so I upgraded to two all metal S-beners from the check out line at REI -one orange, one black - which solved ever single complaint I had about the underquilt itself. The stuff sack isn’t waterproof, barely contains the low temp quilt, and when carrying the Premium Incubator and Premium Burrow (also an awesome purchase), they took up 2/3 of my 55L pack. I totally recommend swapping in the Sea-to-Summit Ultra-Sil Compression Dry Sak 14L. It’s easy to get the quilt in and out, it crunches the quilt down to half the size of the included stuff sack, and most importantly, ITS WATERPROOF. Protect that down, babes. The storage sack that also comes with the quilts is roomy and easy to manage, so make sure you take your quilts out of the compression saks and store them appropriately . Obviously, neither one of these are make or break features (who cares about a stuff sack and S-bener?) and even with the added expense of those minor aftermarket upgrades this is an AWESOME buy. I’m actually looking into buying another HammockGear Underquilt with less fill to save a bit of weight in the summer months because I know I’m not going anywhere without this quilt again.

    0 degree incubator

Posted by adam stowers on 31st Oct 2019

This under quilt is incredibly easy to setup and take down. Easy to adjust.
The under quilt and top quilt pack down to nothing and are light as a feather.
The workmanship and quality of service is fantastic as well.
You cannot go wrong with hammock gear!

    Excellent lightweight underquilt

Posted by John on 10th Sep 2019

I've owned this since 2014. It's kept me warm down to one night at -10 deg F (with a winter bag) -- I use it at any temp under 70 deg F. Properly tensioned, it sucks up nice and tight and you don't get drafts. I hang it under a Warbonnet Blackbird. You do have to be a little careful to make sure it's pulled around your feet and shoulder when you sleep on the bias, but it's long enough to do that.

    Premium Incubator 20 degree

Posted by Fred on 3rd Jul 2019

I have not used it in the hammock yet as it has been 80 degrees at night where I am from, but the quality is fantastic, and I know it is warm as I have sat with it indoors with my ac at 68 degrees (it was too warm for that temperature for my liking) but I can imagine dropping down to 30 or 20 degrees this will be fantastic.

    Great Quality Product!

Posted by Tanya on 28th Apr 2019

I bought this UQ to use underneath my WB XLC. I absolutely LOVE this quilt. It is very well made, has lots of loft, and is easy to attach and angle to my hammock lay. I would definitely recommend this product. I've bought quite a few products from HG and have not been disappointed. They have excellent customer service, prompt shipping, and an easy return process (if needed).
