The Economy Burrow is a favorite of both hammock and ground campers around the world. Made with 20 denier nylon taffeta fabric that features a DWR (durable water resistant) coating to help shed moisture, and an internal calendared finish for down proof construction. Each quilt is generously filled with RDS Certified, 800 fill power, DWR treated duck down to provide insulation on the top and sides of your body, while eliminating flattened and otherwise ineffective insulation underneath. By forgoing the least insulating elements found in most sleeping bags such as a full length zipper, hood, and backside materials our top quilt design will keep you warm and save precious weight and space. Whether accompanied by a ground pad or underquilt, The Economy Burrow will keep you comfortably warm down to its temperature rating with any sleep system. When using The Economy Burrow in conjunction with any ground sleep system, upgrading to a wide width is highly recommended for adequate coverage along the sides of your body.  Proudly made in the USA.

    Economy Burrow + Premium Hood

Posted by Paul on 15th Oct 2020

I am very happy with my 20d Economy Burrow.
I have taken it on 2 separate hammocking trips and enjoyed every minute of sleep! For the second trip to PA we were anticipating temps in the 30's so I went ahead and purchased the premium down hood for extra comfort, which it was. It was not only comfortable to wear, but it muffled a lot of the outside noises making it a more peaceful experience. We had rain for the first three days of our last trip, and my Hennessy Hammock performed exceptionally well keeping me dry throughout our stay. The temp at it's lowest point reached 39, and I felt totally warm. I am looking forward to pushing it's 20d rating as we approach winter camping. I hope to outfit my wife, and 3 children with the same setup in the near future. I am 5'11, 200lbs, and I ordered the standard length which was plenty long. I did opt for the wide option since there may be times I use this on the ground when hammocking is impossible. With that said the wider bag only made sleeping more comfortable especially for sleeping on my side. If you are planning on getting one, I suggest ordering ahead of time so that you have it in time for your trip, they gave a 9 week time expectancy when I ordered, and it came on the 9th week. I have already recommended this to some close friend for there hammocking setups.

    30° Quilt

Posted by Samuel Warrick on 14th Oct 2020

First dealings with a quilt. Used four times with 45° as the coldest so far. Each time I end up removing clothing as regular underwear would suffice. A shout out to the Section Hiker for steering me in the right direction.

    Great product, great service

Posted by Daniel on 13th Oct 2020

I ordered this as a replacement for another quilt that was destroyed - knowing that there was a lead time of 8 to 9 weeks. So I asked if there were any "off the shelf" ready for delivery earlier to purchase in addition. Instead, they expedited my order at no charge and I got my custom quilt much faster than expected. And it is a quality proeduct. Very happy!

    10 Degree Top Quilt

Posted by Eric on 8th Oct 2020

I just took this on an overnight into the high alpine where low temps dipped into the 30s and I was TOASTY. and that's even with a subpar sleeping pad that I later discovered had a slow leak. Spend the extra couple bucks to get the pad attachment straps. Not the most malleable clips (hard plastic), but they got the job done. I went with the zippered toe box which I cinched close with the drawstring, and I didn't experience any draft whatsoever. Happy I went with the Wide, because I will be using it for both tent and hammock camping. Great customer service bumps this from 4 to 5 stars.

    Economy burrow

Posted by Hailey on 7th Oct 2020

I have gone out with this quilt once so far and it worked really well. I was able to move around and sleep comfortably without being twisted up like you may be in a mummy bag. I have the 20 degree and I was completely fine down to 35 last weekend. Would definitely recommend for people early in their backpacking career. It is a very good, affordable option.

    Look No Further

Posted by Mansoor on 7th Oct 2020

This is by far the greatest sleeping bag I have ever used. I will never need to look for another sleeping bag. My custom bag was ordered to be certified down to 20 degrees, and I have tested it in sub-30 degree temps thus far. I kid you not, I was sweating and had to take off my base layers!!! This bag ingeniously trimmed so much wasted weight. The packed down size of the bag is so small and makes it extremely convenient for backpacking trips. I highly, highly recommend this bag, and I will encourage all my friends to get this bag!!!! And it is an unbelievable value for the price!!!

    great quilt

Posted by Doug on 6th Oct 2020

Took my new quilt out for 3 nights in the dolly sods--loved it. Warm, comfy, versatile, and light. Really like it. If buying again, I wouldn't bother with the pad attachment kit. Long lead-time on production, but nothing unexpected. Great product!

Although the lowest temp I’ve used this for is 52, this ground quilt is awesome! Easy setup, love the zipper for a bag or quilt. Headed up to colder temps in November, and that will be a true test, but I was pretty warm in it so far with minimal layers!

Love it. I purchased this for a top quilt to use instead of my heavy and large mummy bag. I tent camp and hate being trapped in a bag. This was great. cut the pack size and cut the WEIGHT. used it like a down comforter! was perfect.

    Economy Burrow

Posted by David Tilley on 8th Sep 2020

I haven’t had a chance to take it out and try it yet but looking at the quality of this quilt, my first impressions are this is top notch materials and craftsmanship. It feels very soft/smooth, I like the puffiness of the down( which I am happy I went for the extra overfill) all of the stitching looks great, all of the snaps, zippers, and draw stings are of quality. The most important thing I wanted to discuss is the amazing customer service. Hands down the best, thanks to Harry. I was about to cancel my order because I didn’t notice the shipping on the quilts were 9weeks out and I have a trip planned before then. I sent an email asking to please terminate my order. Harry reached out to me asking when my trip was to see if he could have it made and shipped to me before then and asked if I still wanted the quilt if he could deliver. He told me he could have it made and delivered with plenty of time to spend! I asked if I could make some changes to my order which he happily made. Harry never made a fuss nor did he seem put out to help me. For that I became a long term shopper. It’s not often I receive A+ customer for that alone, topped with quality product, Hammock Gear has exceeded my expectations. Thank you and your team for everything.
