Our Mesh Tarp Sleeve is 12 feet long, features a one piece design, and will cover your entire tarp up to 12 ft in length, including the guyline.  Whether it be Dyneema Fiber or Sil-Poly tarps, this sleeve will fit them all.

If you are looking for a quick, sleek way to deploy and store your tarp, this is it!  Made from super strong dense mesh, this sleeve offers a great way to help ventilate your damp tarp while out on the trail.  It also allows your tarp to be both readily available and consolidated above your hammock on those beautiful clear nights.  Should you feel a sprinkle or two, simply slide the sleeve off and deploy your tarp quickly before a potential downpour.

Once installed, the sleeve can easily live on your ridgeline or be removed based on your preference. We also recommend stowing your tarp in this sleeve before placing your shelter in it's stuff sack. This makes packing, unpacking, and orienting your tarp before setup very quick and easy. No more fumbling with large swaths of fabric or air trapped in the tarp when stuffing away for storage.

*Please note that if you are using this sleeve with a Dyneema tarp, you must roll the panels from the bottom towards the ridgeline before stowing inside the sleeve. Once rolled into the sleeve, continue to roll into a tight ball before stowing in stuff sack. This method prevents damaging the unique material, adding longevity to your Dyneema Tarp.

used on 5 day Isle Royale hike

Posted by Jeff on 27th Jul 2020

I used this product for the first time on a 5 day hike at Isle Royale national park. I absolutely loved it. It literally saved 20 minute each morning packing my rain fly. My only complaint would be that when it came the cinch cord was missing. I just made by own with a piece of paracord, So it wasn't a big deal.

Light and perfect for my Quest

Posted by James Plyler on 30th Jun 2020

This one piece mesh tarp sleeve is perfect for the 12 foot Quest tarp, it holds the tarp up and out of the way when setting up in nice conditions and the tarp goes back in nice and slick. I used sil nylon snake skins in the past but I think this will help to shed some water off of the tarp better and it is way lighter.

    Mesh Tarp Sleeve

I really like this sleeve. I use it with a WB Superfly and it slides right in. I have a two piece sil-nylon sleeve that I'm happy with, but when I need another, I'll get this. Lightweight, no snagging, and good closures

    Mesh Tarp Sleeve

I am so happy with these sleeves. I have used others but these are the best by far. Fits the Dyneema Palace Tarp wonderfully, and that is a large tarp. Highly recommend this product.

    Mesh tarp sleeve

Great piece of kit! I have been using a two-piece snake skin for my old tarp but this single piece design is so much easier to use and works perfect with my new, awesome 12' HG Dyneema hex tarp

    Mesh Sleeve

Good quality, but smaller than I expected. It fits my 12' silpoly hex tarp perfectly, but is way too small for my 11' DCF tarp.

    Response from HG:
Thanks Richard! With Dyneema® you have to roll up the sides while pulling the sleeve over. Try that out and it will fit well :)

    Tarp Sleeve

Great sleeve. I plan on buying them for all of my tarps. I like mesh so much more then sleeves made from nylon because it takes less room to pack the tarp with sleeve on. Very good quality and value. I usually sew up my own gear but this saves you a lot of time. I love how it makes tarp setup so much faster. During the day when I want to talk to my mates I can wrap my tarp up. I have put short tethers with small hooks on all my stakes. This allows me to quickly unhook all my guy lines without having to pull out stakes or lose them. Bank line works the best. Hooks from dutchware. Another trick i use on my guylines is a metal rectangle with two holes to tighten and loosen the guyline with a flip of the wrist from Lawson supply. Sorry can’t think of name of doohickey but go to Lawson equipment outdoor gear. They have a small product offering but shipping is free and quick and reliable like hammock gear. i am a knot guy but being able to be a “tarp” guy takes many outings. Always thinking up new ways to make it expedient and fun. The sleeve is just one more example. Thank you Hammock Gear and other suppliers too.
