Our Mesh Tarp Sleeve is 12 feet long, features a one piece design, and will cover your entire tarp up to 12 ft in length, including the guyline.  Whether it be Dyneema Fiber or Sil-Poly tarps, this sleeve will fit them all.

If you are looking for a quick, sleek way to deploy and store your tarp, this is it!  Made from super strong dense mesh, this sleeve offers a great way to help ventilate your damp tarp while out on the trail.  It also allows your tarp to be both readily available and consolidated above your hammock on those beautiful clear nights.  Should you feel a sprinkle or two, simply slide the sleeve off and deploy your tarp quickly before a potential downpour.

Once installed, the sleeve can easily live on your ridgeline or be removed based on your preference. We also recommend stowing your tarp in this sleeve before placing your shelter in it's stuff sack. This makes packing, unpacking, and orienting your tarp before setup very quick and easy. No more fumbling with large swaths of fabric or air trapped in the tarp when stuffing away for storage.

*Please note that if you are using this sleeve with a Dyneema tarp, you must roll the panels from the bottom towards the ridgeline before stowing inside the sleeve. Once rolled into the sleeve, continue to roll into a tight ball before stowing in stuff sack. This method prevents damaging the unique material, adding longevity to your Dyneema Tarp.

    Mesh Sleeve

Posted by Barb on 5th Sep 2019

This is the lowest profile, most breathable tarp sleeve I've found. It covers my tarp up fine, adds no extra bulk and lets my tarp breathe a bit when it gets wet. The only down side (and it's minor) is that it does pick up and hold dirt when I drop it (which I do sometimes). Great product!

    Mesh Sleeve

Posted by Mat on 31st Aug 2019

I got this for use with the ENO ProFly XL Sil Hammock Rain Trap after realizing that regularly setting up/taking down a tarp by yourself is one of the worst hiking rituals I have yet to come across (especially when it is wet). This sleeve easily contains the 13 ft long tarp, gliding over it very smoothly. I err on the side of laziness/quick setup so I have actually been leaving my stakes tied to the tarp and even those fit into the sleeve, get wound up and all of it packs into the sack that came with the tarp (far more easily than without the sleeve). Got to leave the tarp strung up but not deployed for a night on the Superior Hiking Trail since rain chances were low and it is so quick to get it down.

Bottom line is I am never taking a tarp on a trip again without it being in one of these. Or to my backyard...

Definite must for any hammock tarp user, especially those who appreciate easy organization. I’m using this with a 12’ sil poly tarp and am mad for not buying one sooner. It makes set up / tear down so much smoother. Also, the price / weight was a great value from hammockgear and the customer service was very responsive.

Replaced a double sleeve with this one. So far seems easier to deal with. Great quality as always from hammock gear.

    MESH SNAKE SKIN

Posted by Mike Mullins on 11th Jul 2019

Product works as stated. Smooth action pulling over tarp and deploying.
the tiny hole end is aggravating to me.
Would rather have draw cord closure.

This sleeve makes storing your tarp super easy. And it still allows you to use the stuff sack your tarp came in.

Fantastic quality, and fantastic customer service!

    Tarp sleeve, mesh

Posted by Gary on 23rd Jun 2019

Ive had the sleeve for about a year and used it for around 2 months of camping. Very happy with it.
On June 2nd we started a family camping trip that lasted 18 days. My tarp had the skin and my daughters tarp didn't. It quickly became obvious that the skin makes set up and pack up much easier, faster and cleaner. Im ordering a second skin for her tarp.

    Mesh sleeve

Just what I was looking for. This one peace mesh sleeve works great and is long enough to cover my tarp completely. Very handy for deploying and and packing up. I was previously using a two peace method and It wasn't nearly as convenient.

You don't need this until you own it!

Posted by Steve on 11th Jun 2019

I really didn't think I needed this until I used it. Upon receiving my snakeskin I immediately took out my new, unopened tarp with doors, hooked up my guy lines and shock cord. Upon takedown, I did not have to remove my guy lines and shock cords or ridgeline. Just fold your cordage in and slide the snakeskin over! Basically that's it. When it comes to your ridgeline, just figure eight the lines, secure them and tuck them into the ends.

By the way, the tapered end was sheer genius.

Thanks Hammock Gear. You made my life much easier.
