The Standard Tarp with Doors: Storm-Tight Coverage, Trail-Ready Weight

The Standard Tarp with Doors is a storm-ready hammock shelter that buttons down tight when the weather turns. Its integrated doors seal off the ends against wind-driven rain and snow. The wide, full-coverage cut keeps you and your gear dry from ridgeline to perimeter. It delivers serious protection without serious weight, so it earns its spot in any hammock camper’s pack.

Lightweight, Durable Dyneema® Composite Fabric

Dyneema® Composite Fabric (DCF) keeps this Dyneema tarp with doors featherlight and tough. The fabric holds a tight pitch even in rough weather. DCF has almost zero stretch, so the canopy will not sag when it soaks through. It also packs down small, leaving room in your pack for the rest of your kit.

Doors That Seal Out the Weather

The integrated doors are what set the Standard Tarp with Doors apart. Cinch them closed for full end-to-end coverage. They block wind-driven rain, blowing snow, and cold drafts. When the skies clear, tie the doors back with the optional tiebacks. That opens up the view and lets air move through. You decide how buttoned-up or breezy your camp feels.

Fully Taped Ridgeline, Reinforced Tie-Outs

A fully taped ridgeline means you never have to seam seal the Standard Tarp with Doors. It stays watertight straight out of the stuff sack. Bonded-and-sewn construction reinforces every tie-out, so each anchor handles real tension. Pitch it low and tight against a storm, or raise it for headroom on calm nights. Keep a repair kit on hand for quick trailside fixes.

Built for Gathered-End and Bridge Hammocks

Choose an 11- or 12-foot ridgeline to match your suspension. Then pick the panel pull-out spacing for a gathered-end or bridge hammock. Either way, this Dyneema hammock tarp fits your rig exactly. The generous 8’6″ width reaches well past your hammock’s edges for dry coverage. Add a ground cloth when you want a clean spot for boots and gear.

Build Your Standard Tarp with Doors Your Way

Pick your fabric color, ridgeline length, hardware, and line colors to match how you camp. Then round out the setup with your own stakes and guylines. If you prefer an open-ended canopy, the Hex Tarp is worth a look. However you rig your Standard Tarp with Doors, tread lightly on every trip. Follow Leave No Trace guidelines so the places you camp stay wild for the next person.

  • Width: ~8′6″ at widest point

  • Ridgeline Length Options: 11 ft or 12 ft

  • Fabric Options: Dyneema® Composite (.50 oz/yd² for green version)

  • Tie-out points: Numerous perimeter and ridgeline tie-outs engineered for strong attachment

  • Finish: Fully taped ridgeline, all reinforced tie-outs

  • Included: Tarp and stuff sack (guylines and stakes sold separately)

  • Dyneema® composite has zero stretch to eliminate sagging when wet. Because of this quality, we also highly recommend adding shock cord loops to all tie-put points for added protection from damage in high-winds. It is equally important to not overtighten tie-out point as this can compromise the material over time.
