The Palace Tarp is our largest Dyneema Composite Fabric rain fly, offering
maximum coverage at the lowest possible weight for its size. Dyneema
Composite Fabric does not absorb water like nylon or polyester, so the tarp
stays light even in wet conditions and dries quickly. The wide panel layout
provides roomy shelter space with full doors while maintaining a very small
packed footprint.

Features:
• Made from Dyneema Composite Fabric (formerly Cuben Fiber)
• Will not absorb water; maintains consistent weight even when wet
• Full-coverage width with integrated doors for enclosed shelter
• Two ridgeline tie-outs
• Ten perimeter tie-outs
• Four panel pull-outs (two per side, spaced for bridge hammock compatibility)
• 1/2 inch D-Rings on perimeter tie-outs
• 3/4 inch Beastee D-Rings on ridgeline tie-outs
• Optional LineLoc3 hardware upgrade for quick, knot-free adjustment
• Optional Line Clips allow a knotless ridgeline setup
• Packs down small in included Dyneema stuff sack
• Patch kit included for in-field repair
• Guylines sold separately

Use:
• Long-distance trips where weight matters
• Damp, humid, or rain-heavy climates where fabric absorption is an issue
• Campers who want a large, enclosed shelter footprint with minimal weight

  • Palace tarp model is 10’4″ at the widest point
  • .50 oz/yd² for Green Dyneema® Composite.60 oz/yd² for Camo Dyneema® Composite
  • Available in ridgeline lengths of 11 or 12 feet
  • Panel pull out spacing can be selected to accommodate bridge hammocks
  • Fully taped ridgeline is waterproof and does not require seam sealing
  • All tie-out points are bonded and sewn for maximum strength
  • Dyneema® composite has zero stretch to eliminate sagging when wet. Because of this quality, we also highly recommend adding shock cord loops to all tie-put points for added protection from damage in high-winds. It is equally important to not overtighten tie-out point as this can compromise the material over time.

Palace Tarp

I have the standard tarp with doors and wanted something a bit bigger so my wife and I could both sit under it on rainy days to cook meals without bringing alond a separate tarp on rainy backpacking trips. Quality looks the same as the standard which is very good.

Thanks, Otto! Dyneema requires a little more care than a standard silnylon tarp and the material is expensive! The fact that you came back for a second tarp means that you DO know how to care for the material and are pleased with the performance. Thank you for the review!

I just went on an overnighter. I have the normal door tarp. Ive used it several times I went out this time with the palace tarp with a 12 ridge line. After getting it all set up and using my trekking poles for porch mode and pulling the sides out. Holy cow is this thing roomy. I was also able to drop it down real low to the ground while still being able to sit in my hammock like normal. This tarp will be going with me on my AT through hike.
