I have used this ground cloth on many, many trips over a two-year period. It is excellent. It has never let water seep through and it’s tough as nails: only one tiny puncture in all that time. The size is perfect for under the hammock. Extremely compact and light. Highly recommend!
Very durable and easy for my son to use.
This was a pricey addition for just a ground sheet, but then I started to wrap it around my waist and hold it up with my Fanny Packs belt. Ive also used guy line to connect the corners and then wrap the line back on itself before tying it off. Ground sheet, table cloth, mini tarp for wind blocks, rain skirt… the list of uses is only limited by the imagination.
I thought this was pricey but I’m glad I got it. It’s super lightweight and the perfect size to put my pack and boots on while I’m sleeping, or to lay everything out for my hammock so it doesn’t get dirty. I use mini ground hog stakes with it, there are two different ways to stake this out. I also used this as a seat because I don’t have a sit pad.
My previous ground cloth weighed closed to 300g. Obviously it was not meant for ultra-light camping but when I looked at alternatives I thought I would have to go from a sturdy tarp that I could stake out to a sheet of tyvek or clear plastic. I was thrilled to find this ground tarp at 61g! It is a perfect platform for my boots and bags under my hammock. I do not see myself ever looking at anything else for this purpose!
