Dyneema® Composite (previously known as Cuben Fiber), a high-performance base non-woven fabric, is quickly gaining popularity in the hiking community. Our Dyneema® Fiber Standar Tarp with Doors is a catenary cut tarp with doors including 2 ridge line tie outs, 4 panel pull outs (2 on each side spaced 78″ apart for bridge hammocks), and 8 perimeter tie outs. We use 1/2 inch D-Rings on all tie outs except for the ridgeline tie out points which use 3/4 inch Beastee D-Rings.  We also offer the option to upgrade all of the tie outs with LineLoc3 tension hardware to create a knot free set up! If you choose to upgrade to LineLoc3 hardware, we highly suggest adding two of our Line Clips to the ridgeline to completely eliminating the need for knots as all hardware will be LineLoc3s, including the ridgeline. Tarps with doors are perfect for winter camping or inclement weather, where closing of the doors is integral for temperature regulation and weather protection.  Our tarps are shipped with a Dyneema® stuff sack and patch kit for in field repairs.

Guylines do not come standard with our tarps. However, we do offer discounted hanks of our reflective guyline in combination with any tarp purchase! Simply select your desired hank color for instant savings.

150′ : 33% off MSRP

  • Standard tarp model is 8’6″ at the widest point
  • .50 oz/yd² for Green Dyneema® Composite
  • .60 oz/yd² for Camo Dyneema® Composite
  • Available in ridgeline lengths of 11 or 12 feet
  • Panel pull out spacing can be selected to accommodate bridge hammocks
  • Fully taped ridgeline is waterproof and does not require seam sealing
  • All tie-out points are bonded and sewn for maximum strength
  • Dyneema® composite has zero stretch to eliminate sagging when wet. Because of this quality, we also highly recommend adding shock cord loops to all tie-put points for added protection from damage in high-winds. It is equally important to not overtighten tie-out point as this can compromise the material over time.

Solid replacement

Loved the design, last had one from hummingbird hammocks (out of business), mine ripped and bought this to replace. Was nervous to let go a trusted piece of gear and take a chance on a new manufacturer during a thru hike. Love the lightweight design and the easy hammock sleeve. It is very durable in the storms. I would love to see a darker color (female and like my privacy) but I would highly recommend this item. Dont use the end tie outs, make sure you connect to a solid ridgeline to account for the wind. Gives more durability then using the ends only in wind

wish there were instructions

i know everyone does stuff differently and there's a ton of ways to set the tarp up but i wish there were a few sets of instructions on how best to do the tie outs and different ridgeline situations. i'm starting to figure it out but am not sure if i'm being efficient. otherwise the tarp is amazing because of how light it is! i also didn't realize how horrible i had it with a stretchy tarp. this has definitely changed my life.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful review, Melissa!

Youre absolutely righta bit of guidance can go a long way, especially when you're working with a versatile piece of gear like the Standard Tarp with Doors. While we design our tarps to accommodate a wide range of setups and preferences, we're working on putting together more visual and written resources to help folksespecially those newer to hammock campingget the most efficient and effective pitch possible.

That said, it's awesome to hear how much of a difference you're noticing already! Switching from a stretchy tarp to Dyneema is a game changerthe zero-stretch material really helps keep your pitch tight and reliable, no matter the weather.

Thanks again for the kind words and constructive feedbackit helps us improve and keeps us connected to what matters most: your experience out on the trail.

Happy trails,
