    Super easy

Posted by Jeff on 1st Dec 2022

The Incubator was super easy to set up, especially with the video tutorial. I immediately felt the warmth radiating back at me. I’ll have a chance to give it a serious test in a week. FWIW, I added short pieces of shock cord with mitten hooks and cord locks to the D rings at the foot and head ends. One shock cord per end on the side which needs to be higher. The mitten hook goes on the ridge line. That way there’s no need to adjust the quilt in the middle of the night.

    Economy Incubator Custom-30 degree

Posted by Mer On Mountains on 7th Nov 2022

I decided to shell out some extra $ and get a down under-quilt. It seed to be very reasonably priced. I was not expecting the added bonus of custom colors and sizes. I did hesitate at the 2 to 3 week wait. But decided to go for it. I'm so happy I did! I love it! And it arrived in less that 2 weeks. Just got back from a 7 night backpacking trip in NC/GA. Two nights the temps was in the 30's. I pared it with my 45/50 sleeping bag. Even so, the Incubator picked up slack and I stayed quite warm. On the 45/50 degree nights, it felt like I had a heat lamp under me! It even comes with 2 stuff sacks. One for on the trail, and a very large one to store it loosely at home. I love how it packs down small and only weighs about 16 oz in it's tiny stuff sack. It's easy to adjust. and I like the added feature of little D rings on the top edges. (For your own custom adjustment.)

    Great Quilt, Even Better Service

Posted by Unknown on 31st Oct 2022

I got a 20 degree quilt hoping to stay warm at 30 degrees. It got down to 32 and I was very very warm wearing minimal layers. Would recommend, worth the price. Hammock gear got it to me in record time. Fantastic service.

Great quality & even better customer service

Posted by Kyle L. on 22nd Mar 2022

I purchased a economy incubator along with the economy burrow and I am more than happy with the quality and versatility that I will get out of them both for years to come.

I had never used an under quilt before, and I will never go back. It is incredibly easy to setup and adjust to your preference. I was concerned that the incubator would not fit me in my ENO doublenest, but I was reassured when I received it and set it up for my test run at the local park.

I ordered the 20 degree long version and I am extremely happy with he quality incubator to say the least. I would definitely recommend and buy again. Love both of my purchases so much, that I look forward to getting another set of under/top quilts for the summer months ahead.

Awesome piece of gear, great customer service, best sleep in a hammock in moderately cold weather I’ve ever experienced.

    0F Incubator

Posted by North East on 10th Nov 2021

Thank you HG for shipping the UQ in record time. I was able to use it in low 30s to upper 20s so far and was very comfortable. The quality is amazing and the fact that it comes not only with a stuff sack but also a storage bag. You get far less for a lot more money from other manufacturers.
My only regret is not switching to HG sooner. Great products and great support.

    Incubator Custom

Posted by jeff dianocky on 15th Sep 2021

Amazing customer service and top quality workmanship. HG was very thorough and great communication up to my purchase. Received it much earlier then expected. Have one night in the incubator 10f and bugnet hammock I purchased and I'm beyond happy with both. The UQ kept me unbelievably warm and was super easy to adjust and get hung right. Thanks HG you have a customer for life.

    Incubator

Posted by Johny on 9th Sep 2021

I've only used the under quilt once but you can clearly tell it is a quality made item. Very warm and easy to adjust. Easily the nicest part of my setup. Couldn't be happier with the product and they even rushed to get it to me in time for an outing which was much appreciated. Will definitely make this my go to for future needs.

    Always a winner!

Posted by Mark on 12th May 2021

This was my first Economy quilt purchase after buying at least 15 quilts since 2013. Same great quality as usual! Since I am always trying to cut weight and bulk I will not be using this one for backpacking, but it is a great option to have for saving money. I am using this as my nightly UQ for sleeping indoors at home. I love it!

    Warm, Warm and Warm

Posted by Jeff C on 1st Mar 2021

I have the 10 Degree long incubator to use with my 10 ft hammock. I have slept down to 4 degrees and was plenty warm. I really like the adjustment straps. Once you get it fitted to you, all the remaining setups will be the same. I did have to tie knots in the cordage so the push stoppers would not slip. Packs down nice but fluffs up really nice.

    Great deal

Posted by Michael on 23rd Feb 2021

I used the economy incubator 0 and the economy burrow 0 on a 3-day backpacking trip in late December. Temperatures dropped below 20F in the night and they both performed excellently at keeping me warm. Using the incubator instead of two sleeping pads and a tent, I was able to drop over four pounds from my previous base weight for winter backpacking. Compared to some other more expensive quilts, this has left me completely satisfied at a fraction of the price.
