Premium Pillow

For the longest time I did not use a pillow at all then started putting a down vest in a stuff sack which worked for a bit but I got sick of always fishing for my pillow! I picked up the premium pillow and I absolutely love it ! I will not be without one of these ever again .

Excellent, compressible pillow for use in the hammock. The retention cord is great; it keep the pillow from flopping out of the hammock. Comfy and contributes to a good night sleep!

I have slowly been moving away from heavier/luxory items to lightweight items for my hammock camping. Previously I was using a Klymit Luxe pillow which is 3 times the weight of this pillow! It also constantly fell out of the hammock and had to be retrieved. This pillow solves all of these problems and does it with comfort and extreme packability. The pillow is just the right size to support your neck where you need it in a hammock. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to using it for years to come!

I bought an HG pillow way back in ‘15 before the days of premium/econ. The old style was less firm and, for me, this was perfect. The new premium is more firm and actually hurts my neck due to the angle it puts my head at in the hammock. Still a top-notch, quality product just not as good as the early models for me.

Pros: Lightweight, packs down to almost nothing
Cons: Not a lot of neck support, the shock cord on mine came un-stitched within a couple months of hiking.

My jacket served as a better pillow.

It is a fantastic pillow for what it is I do have to say it is on the small side however the extra large you have a weight penalty. The only thing I dislike is the placement of the loop for the shock cord. Having it in the center I always feel it running up the back of my head I wish they made one with two loops on each side that would form a Y to go around your head . I ended up reversing the shock cord and making an adjustable continuous loop so I would not have a tight knot behind my head I may one day purchase the extra large just to see how it feels. I am almost positive it would be more comfortable for me but the extra large is a lot for backpacking. All in all I am happy with my purchase the pillow is made extremely well the quality is top notch just like everything I have purchased From hammock gear.

Light, compact, comfortable and size is perfect

I wanted to love this pillow. It is very well made. It is pretty. It is soft. It's perfect in every way except that I get really painful head and neck aches every time I use it. I haven't figured out why yet. It is very well made though so I hope I figure it out. :-)
