light and compact, I will just worry about losing the pin that holds it together
I tested it, burning twigs to make a cup of tea .
Seems pretty fast and efficient .
I’ve used my wood stove for 10 meals, just boiling water with wood scraps. Biggest down sides are expected, cleanliness and speed.
I felt it was too small but when I over loaded it with wood and held pot by hand it sufficed. Made a note to self to have a hangable pot and when used again would use a tripod.
A very light weight stove with a nice carrying case. It’s a bit on the small side and could use a cross bar at the top to stabilize smaller diameter pots, otherwise it gets the job done quite well.
As a Bushcraft instructor I am well versed in open fire and wood burning, but sometimes you must use other materials and portable burners. I have several for solo and group use. The Hammock Gear
Titanium wood stove is my latest and I have been using it over the last week. The woods are still wet
and I had a fair amount of rain during my week away. I used Dragon Fire eco-friendly gel firelighter for
my fuel. The wood stove comes in a nice little flat pouch with a piece of sandpaper and a wire to loop
through the pin. The wire and the pin are steel, so I have shelved the and use a cut down stainless steel
bicycle spoke to save weight. I have found that a tuna can fits into the shelf provided for the alcohol stove and only 0.4oz. My 600ml Ti pot with its 4.88-inch diameter sits perfectly on to, but anything smaller might not fit.
Easy to assemble even with gloved hands and packs flat in its little pouch. Worked well even in light winds and at just over 4oz slips into my pack taking up extraordinarily little space. Looking forward to using it in drier conditions with wood this year. Pity that you do not allow phots with your reviews.
