  1. AZ
    My first Hammockgear hammock.

I wanted to find something simple and affordable to use in the late fall when there aren’t any bugs flying around, so I decided on the standard hammock. It’s as simple as you can get without losing any comfort. Plus, my Hammockgear underquilt fits it perfectly. I’m excited to put it to good use for many seasons.

Great addition to my second hammock

Love it. Creates the perfect shape for my backup hammock.

Perfect way to upgrade an old hammock

I purchased a ridgeline and Whoopie slings to upgrade an old hammock – I did this as I was loaning it to a friend and they were looking for a light weight hammock system to try before they bought. Not only did this lower the weight of the hammock by about 400 grams from the original packed weight it also allowed for a much better hang – the ridgline provides a consistent sag and the Whoopie slings give much better adjustability. The upgraded hammock used to sit in a tote as a backup/spare and now I use it in my daypack as my main lounger.

I am now looking to add a ridgeline to all my hammocks and swap out the bulky suspension on some to Whoopie slings.

Quality of the product is top notch, a breeze to install and makes for a consistent and comfortable hang every time – highly recommend getting a ridgeline from Hammock Gear
